OQ Mechanical (Ortega Quality Mechanical, LLC)
Effective date: 06/22/2020 · Last updated: 07/25/2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Ortega Quality Mechanical, LLC, doing business as OQ Mechanical (“OQ Mechanical,” “OQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects when you visit oqmechanical.com, call us, text us, or request service, and what we do with that information.

We are a mechanical contractor serving Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Corrales, Bernalillo, Placitas, Los Lunas, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. We collect information for one reason: to answer your questions, schedule your work, and run our business. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

You provide information directly when you fill out a form, book an appointment online, start a chat, call or text us, or hire us for a job. That typically includes:

  • Your name, phone number, and email address
  • Your service address and, for commercial work, your company name and role
  • Details about the job — the equipment involved, the problem you are having, photos you send us, and appointment preferences
  • Payment and billing information, which is processed by our payment processor and not stored on our website
  • Anything else you choose to write into a message, chat, or review

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our servers and the analytics and advertising tools we use collect standard technical information:

  • IP address and general location (usually city-level)
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and the links you clicked
  • The website, search, or ad that referred you to us
  • Cookie and device identifiers assigned by analytics and advertising services

Phone calls

We use call tracking to understand which marketing brings us calls. When you call a number listed on our website, we may record the phone number you called from, the number you dialed, the date and time, and how long the call lasted. Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality and training. If a call is being recorded, you will be told at the start of the call and you can ask us not to record.

Online chat and scheduling

If you use a chat window or an online booking tool on our site, the provider that powers that tool processes what you type, along with your contact details and the appointment you request, so we can respond and get you on the schedule.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to quote requests, service requests, and questions
  • Schedule, dispatch, and perform the work you hired us to do
  • Send appointment confirmations, technician arrival notices, estimates, invoices, and service follow-ups
  • Process payments and keep records of the work we performed on your property
  • Provide warranty service and maintenance reminders on equipment we installed or serviced
  • Ask for feedback or a review after a completed job
  • Send marketing emails and text messages if you have asked to receive them
  • Understand how our website performs and improve it
  • Measure our advertising and reach people who may need our services
  • Detect and block spam form submissions, fraud, and abuse
  • Meet legal, tax, licensing, insurance, and permitting obligations

3. Text Messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your service — appointment confirmations, “technician is on the way” notices, scheduling changes, and estimates or invoices. We may also send promotional or marketing texts, but only if you have opted in to receive them.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to receive marketing texts in order to hire us or get a quote.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message from us. For help, reply HELP or call us at 505-980-8382. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except for the service providers that send messages on our behalf, and those providers may not use the information for any other purpose.

Text Message Service privacy notice

Ortega Quality Mechanical, LLC (OQ) sends text message updates and responses to consumer customers about pricing and products offered at oqmechanical.com.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Ortega Quality Mechanical, LLC respects your privacy. We use information you provide to send and respond to your mobile messages. This includes sharing it with platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors who help us deliver messages. We won’t share mobile information with third parties for marketing. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are exempt from this. We may disclose information to satisfy legal, regulatory, or governmental requests, avoid liability, or protect our rights or property. This policy applies to your use of the Text Message Service and doesn’t modify our general Privacy Policy, which may govern our relationship with you in other contexts.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary to make the site work. Others help us understand traffic and measure advertising.

  • Essential cookies — keep the site functioning, remember form entries, and help block spam submissions.
  • Analytics cookies — we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to see which pages people visit, which content is useful, and where visitors come from. This is reported to us in aggregate.
  • Advertising cookies — we advertise through services such as Google Ads and may use similar tools on other platforms. These use cookies and pixels to measure which ads produce calls and form submissions, and to show our ads to people who have visited our site.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, though turning off some cookies may keep parts of the site from working. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on Google provides at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and you can adjust Google ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com. Industry opt-out tools are available at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

We share information only in these situations:

  • Service providers. Companies that operate our website, host our data, send our email and text messages, run our scheduling and dispatch software, track calls, process payments, and provide analytics. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Subcontractors and suppliers. When a job requires a licensed subcontractor, an equipment supplier, or a manufacturer warranty claim, we share what is needed to complete that work.
  • Financing partners. If you apply for financing on an installation, we pass your application information to the lender you choose.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, our employees, our customers, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If OQ Mechanical is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction.

6. Your Choices

  • Email. Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will still send you messages about work in progress.
  • Text messages. Reply STOP to any message.
  • Phone. Ask us to remove you from our call list and we will.
  • Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the information at the end of this policy. We may need to verify who you are before acting on a request, and we may need to keep certain records — invoices, permits, warranty documentation — where the law requires it.
  • Cookies. Manage them in your browser settings or through the opt-out tools listed above.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these choices.

7. Data Retention

We keep customer and job records for as long as we have a business relationship with you and afterward for as long as needed to honor warranties, resolve disputes, support future service on the same equipment, and satisfy tax, licensing, and insurance requirements. Website analytics data is retained according to the settings in the analytics platforms we use. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it unidentifiable.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections on our website and access controls on our systems. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as full payment card numbers or social security numbers through our website forms, email, or chat.

9. Children

Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Websites

Our site links to other websites, including our Google Business Profile, review sites, manufacturer pages, and financing partners. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before providing information to them.

11. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond, so our site does not currently respond to those signals. You can still use the cookie and advertising controls described in Section 4.

12. New Mexico and Other State Privacy Rights

We operate primarily in New Mexico and serve customers throughout the Albuquerque and Santa Fe metro areas. New Mexico law requires businesses to protect personal identifying information and to notify affected residents in the event of a security breach involving unencrypted personal information, and we follow those requirements.

Some states give residents additional rights over their personal information, including the right to know what is collected, the right to request deletion or correction, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We honor these requests from anyone who asks, regardless of where you live. Because we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of on that point. To make a request, use the contact information below.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our business, our website, or the law changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continuing to use our website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
